The Osteopath has been winning for us since arriving in 2012. He came to us at the age of 8 and has continued to train on over the past 4 years, winning 6 races and finishing second four times. He benefited from interventions such as chiropractic treatment and rehabilitation exercises to strengthen his core stability. This enabled him to ‘engage’ his core muscles better and thus help him continue performing. All of our horses receive an individual approach to their training schedule (including nutrition, hydration, chiropractic/physio/equinITy, shoeing, rest time, worming etc) to ensure their well-being is optimized which in turn leads to increased longevity as a racehorse and the likelihood that they will give their all on the racetrack. The Osteopath is an example of a horse that has continued to train on into his latter racing years due to excellent animal husbandry and appropriate training techniques. The Osteopath is 13 years old in 2016 and continues to relish the challenges of work and racing. He will most likely run in the early part of 2016 and then be retired.
